Being Vegetarian in Islamic law

- The question, "Is a Muslim should be a vegetarian, of course, never eat meat? And every holiday, all people eat meat?

Answer: "There should be (read: haram) for a Muslim to forbid himself to consume meat if that person believes that this is part of worship or she wants to live ascetic by not eating meat. The reason is the Prophet's words, "As for me, there are some nights when I used to pray and others to sleep, there is a day of fasting and there are days of fasting and I do not eat meat. Anyone who hates mysunah then he is not part of my people "[Bukhari].

So do not eat meat with the intention of drawing nearer to God because they want to live ascetic or worship to God is an act that menyelisihi Sunnah Rasulullah [read: bid'ah].

But people who do not want to eat meat because of disease in the body or by eating meat that cause allergies then this law is why.

Muslims desire to be a vegetarian who does not want to eat meat is a form of me-too dangerous non-Muslim acts. A Muslim should not be the origin bandwagon without knowing the benefits and objectives of the things that followed ".
