Answer: "There should be (read: haram) for a Muslim to forbid himself to consume meat if that person believes that this is part of worship or she wants to live ascetic by not eating meat. Muslims desire to be a vegetarian who does not want to eat meat is a form of me-too dangerous non-Muslim acts. A Muslim should not be the origin bandwagon without knowing the benefits and objectives of the things that followed ".
